Milo Huat Kueh (Milo Steamed Cake)

Ingredients

  • 120 g of milo powder
  • 280 ml warm water
  • 280 g plain flour
  • 4 tsp of baking powder
  • 70 ml of vegetable oil
  • 70 ml of brown sugar
  • 1 tsp of vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Preheat your Tefal Brilliance Steam Oven to 110C, steam function, making sure that the water tank is full.
  • In a bowl, dissolve milo powder with warm water.
  • Then, stir in vegetable oil, vanilla extract and brown sugar.
  • Sift in plain flour and baking powder and whisk until combined.
  • Transfer into your muffin pan lined with muffin liners, each filling up about 90% full. You should be able to make 10 huat kueh.
  • Steam it in the preheated steamer oven for about 20 minutes.
  • Let it cool on a wire rack and you may serve it warm.
