First Gavia Booth @ SUTD 2016
It was my first Gavia booth. Nevertheless, everything went well. I’m happy that the response turned out well and everything was sold out at the end of the event. Lemon Blueberry Muffins, Banana Chocolate Muffins, and Orange Cranberry Almond Muffins. These are some of my favorite sugar-free recipes. A lovely lady bought a Lemon Blueberry Muffins to try and instantly love it! She ordered 40 muffins in one goal. To receive such support from people like her, I really appreciate it. I’m really happy that I could finally use some of my cake stands. Honestly, it was hard work, I didn’t expect working to be so hard at all. During…
Cheese Tarts – SG Food Trends 2016
Cheese Tarts are taking over Singapore and everyone is crazy about it. It started with a Japanese bakery, BAKE which made Singaporeans queued for almost 2 hours on the first-day opening to get these babies. Now, you could get these Cheese Tarts almost anywhere in Singapore. Most bakeries have adopted their take on these tarts. Feeling fancy to make some at home? Try my Cheese Tarts recipe! It is actually very simple. These Cheese Tarts are to die for! And they tasted best when it’s warm, so make sure to reheat it in a toaster oven before you serve! Great for parties too. Easy to transport. Love it!

The Rotisserie @ Suntec City Mall
I recently went to Suntec City Mall to try out ‘The Rotisserie‘. These are one of the most popular dishes on the menu, Roasted Chicken (half), Pork Knuckle, and Black Angus Beef Burger. Yet, since I can’t take in beef, I will not comment about it. The portions were generously and I certainly couldn’t finish either of a whole plate. My main course was Pork Knuckle. Honestly, I personally feel that the meat was too red, and can be further improved. However, the Roasted Chicken was surprisingly amazing! Well roasted skin on the outside with tender moist meat on the inside However, the Roasted Chicken was surprisingly amazing! Welled roasted skin…

Chinese Peanut Cookies (花生饼干) – Chinese New Year
Melt-in-your-mouth nutty Chinese Peanut Cookies are my Gugu’s all-time favorite. She would often send me the best Peanut Cookies she could find every Chinese New Year. This year however, I am going to send her some homemade Peanut Cookies instead. Often also known as, “花生饼干”. These cookies are so rich and indulgent. Using Rice Flour instead of All-Purpose/Plain Flours makes the cookie even more melty when it hits your mouth. It also makes it gluten-free! Be sure to use freshly roasted peanuts instead of rancid ones. My advice for rolling out pastry is always to roll out between two wax/parchment papers instead of dusting it with flour. Excess flour will change…
Salted Egg Yolk Cookies – Chinese New Year
Who could ever image that we could use salted egg yolks and make into cookies? This unique taste has been very popular in Singapore. And I can’t believe that we have created so many different type of dishes and desserts. For this year Chinese New Year, these cookies have been popping all over the net. I guess one of the reason why it is so hype this 2016 compared to previous year is because there’s the recent crazed about Salted Egg Yolk Croissant that surfaced near our country, JB. Butter crumbly cookie with lovely depth of salted egg yolk flavor. Anyway, If you love this pungent flavor, be sure to give it…
Pandan Cookies – Chinese New Year
Pandan cookies for this Chinese New Year. It’s the time of the year for this festive season and I want to celebrate it with the familiar aroma. These pandan cookies are easy to make, fragrant and easy to consume. You will sure lie to yourself to have just one more… I used a wooden square mold for this recipe. If you don’t have, you could make it round by shaping it into a log or make it squarish with your hands. Do whatever you like, you can even roll out and use a cookie cutter!
