DejaBrew – Authentic Chinese Dialects’ Cuisine Under One Roof
by Goh Xiao Shi A place to taste authentic Chinese cuisine of different local dialect groups under one roof When comes to feasting on different local Chinese cuisines, nowhere else could be more apt than Deja Brew, a cozy café strategically located at the Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre. The punny name of the café gave me a hint that I was about to travel to the past through my taste buds. But I was wrong. The menu, well thought out by the owner and his team, is a fusion of traditions and modernity. Forget about the overpublicized Hainanese Chicken Rice, make way for Hakka Salt Baked Chicken Rice! The tender chicken…

O´sulloc Tea House If you are looking for Green Tea/Matcha flavors, you should totally check this place out! This cafe specializes in Green Tea and has many Green Tea drinks and desserts. Oh My Tian @ Boon Keng – A Singapore Version of Wonderland
Got to try out Oh My Tian‘s new menu last month. I felt that some of their new dishes will certainly make you feeling OMG. When I stepped into this Carnival-themed cafe, it really felt Oh My Tian Ah. In other words, I meant that the place was majestic and wonderland-liked. Strong colors you thought that would mismatch with one another actually complements well. Not your usual cafes. Their new Milkshakes from Heaven feels exotic with their Blue and Brown. The Blue also known as Sea Salt Gula felt a little lacking of flavors. Definitely can be better. However, the Brown, which is also known as Chocolate Caramel was a…

The Rotisserie @ Suntec City Mall
I recently went to Suntec City Mall to try out ‘The Rotisserie‘. These are one of the most popular dishes on the menu, Roasted Chicken (half), Pork Knuckle, and Black Angus Beef Burger. Yet, since I can’t take in beef, I will not comment about it. The portions were generously and I certainly couldn’t finish either of a whole plate. My main course was Pork Knuckle. Honestly, I personally feel that the meat was too red, and can be further improved. However, the Roasted Chicken was surprisingly amazing! Well roasted skin on the outside with tender moist meat on the inside However, the Roasted Chicken was surprisingly amazing! Welled roasted skin…
Lunch at To-Gather Cafe
Cafe My friends and I were looking for a good reasonably priced food cafe. We are quite budget one, so we like to go for economical but yet deliciously good. (don’t judge) I found this cafe located in Bedok HDB neighborhood. Even though it is not really accessible, we decided to make a trip down as I heard good reviews about it. Keith G. was quite skeptical about it and was reluctant to visit the cafe but Michelle and I were so excited about it. He gave in in the end and came along with us. I really loved the finished style of the cafe. It gave me a warm and…
