The Chicken’s Rollin’ – Bugis Café – Outdoor Beers and Delights @ Studio M Hotel Singapore
The Chicken’s Rollin’ is one of Bugis Café signature dishes that you should try it out when you are here. Inspired by the local Hainanese Chicken Rice, this dish is made into a rice roll and then deep fried to give you a crispy outer layer. It certainly pairs really well with a drink!
Trio Golden Cups (Kueh Pie Tee) – Bugis Café – Outdoor Beers and Delights @ Studio M Hotel Singapore
The Trio Golden Cups (Kueh Pie Tee) are actually a little different from the traditional Kueh Pie Tee you usually get. Here at Bugis Café, they replaced it with Chicken and Satay Sauce. Surprisingly, the combination complements quite well with the tartlet.
Bugis Café – Outdoor Beers and Delights @ Studio M Hotel Singapore
Kam Heong Chick, Just Spam La and Hou Yu Pi have a kick of spice and are perfect to go with their craft beers! It was so addictive!
“Belly-Nice’ Pork – Bugis Café – Outdoor Beers and Delights @ Studio M Hotel Singapore
If you feeling extremely hungry and want something filling, Bugis Café also offers a wide array of main course dishes other than bites for you to savor. I got to try out their “Belly-Nice” Pork which was braised pork belly with rice and it was alright. The pork belly was juicy and the tau pok was busting with flavourful when you bite into it. I like my rice to be ‘wet’, so the next time I order it, I’ll request for some extra gravy to go along with.
Chick On Stick – Bugis Café – Outdoor Beers and Delights @ Studio M Hotel Singapore
Another fancy way of saying Satay, Chick On Stick is no doubt, our local grilled chicken skewer. Paired with the Peanut Satay Sauce, it can never go wrong!

Ravioli Alla Fornarina Con Tartufo Nero – District10 @ UESquare
Ravioli Alla Fornarina Con Tartufo Nero ($28) handcrafted ravioli with ricotta, black Angus beef and egg yolk.
Don’t be fooled by its appearance, because all the goodness is right within the massive ravioli. The dish was enhanced to perfect with ricotta and truffle, a taste so unique I wouldn’t forget.

La mamma b speciale Chicken Bolognese Penne ($18) in spicy tomato sauce
Mama Bruna sure knows how to spice things up to the usual Bolognese pasta. Think about it, the thick and flavourful sauce with generous amount of minced chicken bursting out of the Penne on your first munch, leaving a hint of spicy aftertaste in your mouth. If you hate watery tomato pasta like I do, this will be your true love.
il Piatto della Nonna Fatta – District10 @ UESquare

Wonton Mee – DejaBrew – Authentic Chinese Dialects’ Cuisine Under One Roof
When comes to feasting on different local Chinese cuisines, nowhere else could be more apt than Deja Brew, a cozy café strategically located at the Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre. The punny name of the café gave me a hint that I was about to travel to the past through my taste buds. But I was wrong. The menu, well thought out by the owner and his team, is a fusion of traditions and modernity.
Hakka Salt Baked Chicken Rice – DejaBrew – Authentic Chinese Dialects’ Cuisine Under One Roof
Forget about the overpublicized Hainanese Chicken Rice, make way for Hakka Salt Baked Chicken Rice! The tender chicken thigh and the slightly salted rice were well presented in a brick bowl. Although the rice was slightly drier than the usual, the juiciness of the chicken thigh made up for the dish. A healthy and satisfying dish.
Hainanese Curry Chicken – DejaBrew – Authentic Chinese Dialects’ Cuisine Under One Roof
The Hainanese Curry Chicken here was served in a bread bowl! The boneless curry chicken meat paired with their crispy, yet soft and fluffy bread will not disappoint you. We managed to finish the entire bread bowl, no kidding!

What’s even better now is that Monti has introduced their new brunch by the bay concept every Sunday with superb Italian breakfast menu.
Egg Salmon Florentine – Monti
Though it is a buffet, it is served in ala-crate style. You would have to order it and they will prepare for you immediately. Which, I find it better as the quality of the food won’t be compromised.
Egg Salmon Florentine was amazing! Served with Sour Dough Bread, Baby Spinach, Smoked Salmon and drizzled with Dill Hollandaise to top it off, you certainly won’t be disappointed with the standard here in Monti.
Egg Salmon Florentine – Monti
No brunch would be completed without eggs. Choose from poached eggs to omelet, I’m sure they will make it to perfection!
Foie Gras on Toast – Monti
Indulge yourself with the choice of Foie Gras on Toast. Try it and you will love it!
French Toast – Monti
Be delighted with their French Toast! Served with Honey Cinnamon Mascarpone Cheese, Caramelized Banana and a scatter of Fresh Berries, it was decent. However, I would very much prefer a wider range of selections for the topping. Imagine having French Toast with Caramelized Banana and Chocolate Syrup. Yum! Nevertheless, it was delish.
Risotto Live Station – Monti
Fancy for Risotto? Order their famous Truffle Risotto and be intrigued with a fancy live show. The Risotto Live Station will showcase on the finishing of your risotto in a parmesan cheese wheel in front of you and your guests.
Monti’s Famous Truffle Risotto
The risotto was very rich and creamy. Due to parmesan cheese, it was a little pungent. Which, could be good or bad depending on your taste bud. I do like it, however.
Monti’s Dessert Table
Check out Monti’s Dessert Table made in-house by their pastry chef after your hearty meal too as these desserts are also part of the buffet. I’m always excited when it comes to dessert, looking at this table makes me even more elevated.
Lemon Rosemary Tartlets
Miniature Lemon Rosemary Tartlets looks indulging and refreshing! It was quite balanced with a twist of Rosemary in the crust. Yet, I personally still prefer it to be sourer.
Rich and decadent Chocolate Cake. Served with fresh berries, they were intensely moist.
We only live once, why not drop by Monti this Sunday for that perfect moment?

Only available during the weekends so make sure to check it out. Not only that you get to chose an array of specialty dishes from their new menu, the place is also insta worthy!
Craving a good classic french toast? You can try out their Brioche French Thick Toast here at Portico Host. Served with their in-house Mixed Berries Comport, you really can feel that the difference between ready-made syrup and homemade style. If you ain’t a berry fan, you also could opt for Mascarpone Cheese or Maple Syrup. But in my option, I personally feel that you should give their Mixed Berries Comport a try.
I’m amazed that they are able to produce such a lovely huge and Fuffy Hotcakes and am loving it! This cake serve up to 4 people, it is really huge! I was surprised that it wasn’t dense at all, I doubt you could get such a gigantic pancake elsewhere. Definitely very Instagrammable!
Wagyu Beef Burger
If you prefer something savory, you could try out their Wagyu Beef Burger with Japanese Seaweed French Fries. I really enjoyed the french fries and Japanese seaweed seasoning!
Host Big Breakfast Pan
Want to have Big Breakfast instead? Go for their Host Big Breakfast Pan then! Their big breakfast consists of bacon, sausage, eggs, fresh tomato and herbs, mushrooms fricassee, brioche toast, and roasted potatoes. I love their roasted potatoes, even though it is so simple, it is so comforting. What a feast!
They also tried to recreate traditional taste with a modern twist with this Nonya Crepe. This dish reminds me of Nonya Kueh Dadar. Combining familiar taste like pandan and coconut cream with vanilla gelato, it is a good start. Yet, I’m not a big fan of the texture. Nevertheless, I am not a big fan of the traditional Nonya Kueh Dadar anyway.
Another worthy item to mention is their Granola. Delicious maple-sweetened Greek yogurt with crispy hearty oats, nuts, and a generous amount of fruit toppings, it is light and refreshing.
The place is very instagrammable, especially if you wanna look chic. So, make sure to wear something bold if you are going there. Who knows? You may the next fashion statement! But, do note that the new brunch menu items are only available during the weekends!
Located at Cavan Road, the.twenty.cavan is a new restaurant & bar that features Asian Fusion dishes that are certainly special and unique. The interior is based on a rustic theme and you will certainly feel like a hipster when dining in there. Yet, you will still get that exquisite feel.
Though the restaurant focuses on serving a wide variety of beers and wines, I wasn’t feeling good so I opted for their non-alcoholic drinks instead. Spicy Mango was recommended by one of their bartenders and I certainly pleased with that. Served with fresh mint leaves and mangoes, it was very refreshing and revitalizing. However, the mango cubes will a little on the tart side. Still, it wasn’t a problem with me as I enjoyed it.
Garden Green Salad
We started it off with some appetizers. The Garden Green Salad consist of pan-fried prawns, cashew nuts, fresh berries and green chili dressing. I was definitely amazed by the unusual taste it gave me when I had my first bite. I like the fact that they paired the hearty leaves with dragonfruit and goji berries as they marry well together.
You get a choice of three starters or four at a selected price. The platter I had have four different appetizers, Mushroom Skewers which comprises peppercorn-flavoured Portobello and Shiitake mushrooms, Deep-fried Soft Shell Crab with curry chicken floss and Quad Seafood which comprises a top shell, scallop, prawn, baby octopus tossed with mint hot bean sauce served with jellyfish.
Deep-fried Soft Shell Crab with curry chicken floss was one of my favorites among it. Though it may sound very freakish it was actually really good!
Red Rice Braised Pork Ribs
As I mentioned above just now that they feature Asian Fusion items, my first main course was Red Rice Braised Pork Ribs. If you know the Hakka chicken dish made with red glutinous rice wine lees, this is Chef Andrew’s pork ribs version. To be honest, I’m never a big fan of pork ribs and this taste more like the western version of char siew to me.
I’m a big lover of the Hakka chicken dish and char siew rice itself, but the Red Rice Braised Pork Ribs is just weird for me. That being said, I feel that there is some other mains worth coming for!
Canton Roast Chicken
Good classic Roasted Chicken with black rice. You can’t find black rice in many places so I’m really surprised and contented that they chose that as the staple for this dish. Also commonly known as the Emperor’s Rice, it is extremely high in antioxidants, vitamins and very nutrition! Sure it’s going to be a hearty meal.
Chicken Galangal Rice Bowl
Chicken Galangal Rice Bowl is another very hearty main that serves with lots of assorted greens and black rice. This rice bowl was one of my favorite, simple clean eating, yet still so good!
Thick brioche with bacon, pork bratwurst, sauteed button mushrooms and scrambled eggs. The eggs were well made, it’s still gooey and soft. Overall, a very typical big breakfast.
Crispy Fish & Chips
I really liked their version of Fish and Chips as they have used Tilapia fish. The best part was that they had left the skin on, making it more flavorful. Their fish batter isn’t the same as the typical fish and chips batter, I’m not sure what type of flour and ingredients they have used for their fish batter but it was quite good and well-seasoned!
Pumpkin Yam Puree
Pumpkin Yam Puree with Coconut Cream. This is a traditional dessert with a modern twist of the Teochew Orh Nee. It actually has aloe vera and pandan juice mixed into the pumpkin and yam puree to make it more special. Orh Nee lovers should definitely give it a try!
Lemon Pudding with Mixed Berries
I always like to have a refreshing dessert to clean my palate after a delightful feast. Paired with pureed mixed berries, the pudding was lightful tart! It almost felt like I was having some really good creamy yogurt! This Lemon Pudding with Mixed Berries is the way to go.
To sum up, I think they really put in the effort to make something special and extraordinary. If you are around the area, why not pop by to check this place out? They have a great rustic ambiance that will make you feel like you are in a cozy back alley.
If you have the Enertainer 2017, do make sure to use the vouchers as they are one of the participating restaurants!
They offer three 1 for 1 main course Entertainer vouchers in the app. Do note that premium items marked with “P” on their menu are excluded.

Recently, Nando’s have launched a brand-new flavor, Mango & Lime! I can’t believe it pairs well and tastes so zingy delicious! It is refreshingly sweet and zesty, great for people who can’t take the heat at all! The new Mango & Lime is set to bring a new dimension to our range of PERi-PERi flavors to suit Singaporean’s taste buds. This interesting mix of refreshing flavors is a sure-winner for you and chicken lovers!
The Full Platter will allow 2 to 4 people to share as it consists of one whole Chicken and 2 Large sides (or 4 REG sides). Make sure to go with their Mango & Lime so that you can experience the new robust flavors!
I got to try out one of their Designer Dinks, Citrus Bliss. It is a combination of Mint Syrup, with Grapefruit Juice and Sprite. Refreshing sweet and carbonated drink to mark the start of my chicken feast!
If you have been to Nando’s, you know that you get to pair your chicken with their PERi-PERi sauces!
PERi-PERi Soup with Chicken
PERi-PERi Soup with Chicken, your typical Cream Soup with a twist of spice. Served with grilled Garlic Roll, it was a little different than what I was expecting and it goes even better with their PERi-PERi sauces!
Espetada (essentially a very long chicken stick) is a fun and delicious way of having Nando’s Marinated Chicken Thighs. Served with 2 REG sides, it will be a showstopper for your evening meal and a great way to entertain your family and friends as you get to help them with the chicken.NandoNan
Tangy Lemon Tart
To end the meal, I got to try out their new dessert, Tangy Lemon Tart. It was a so good because the tart has a balance of tartness and sweetness. I have personally tried many and this was one of the best! The crust was also very buttery, it is something I would come back again for!
My friend and I got to visit KUVO Singapore to try out their new Seafood Pot, Seafood Pot SocialLite. Situated along the streets of Orchard Road, KUVO is a lifestyle dining concept by TCC. the restaurant offers not only dining but bar, vine lounge and even a gift shop!
We started it with their classic Truffle Fries. My friend felt that the scent of the truffle was just right, yet I feel that it certainly can be stronger!
Melon Mangosteen Fruit Tea
I was recommended to their out their Fruit Tea and indeed, it was very pleasant! I ordered Melon Mangosteen Fruit Tea. Though it sounds exotic, it was sweet-smelling and inviting. I really love it! You got to try it out!
Seafood Pot SocialLite
The showstopper for this meal was KUVO’s new Seafood Pot, Seafood Pot SocialLite. It’s a sharing pot that was meant for 2 to 3 pax. You get to choose 4 different types of sauce base, White Wine Garlic Chilli, Bonito Broth, Spicy Chorizo Tomato, or Brandy Beurre Blanc.
We chose the Brandy Beurre Blanc sauce for our base. It was creamy and delightful! The aroma of the Brandy was certainly strong enough, but not too overpowering that will make you feel nausea.
Make sure to add-on their in-house artisan bread to go with the sauce! It will be so satisfying!
KUVO’s Vine Lounge looks classy and sophisticated, isn’t?
Belacan Crispy Wings with Sambal Belacan Dip
We ended it off with their Belacan Crispy Wings with Sambal Belacan Dip. If you are a spicy lover, you got to give it a try! The Sambal dipping sauce will sure to make your mouth on fire!
Receive a bottle of White Wine or Moscato with any Pot SocialLite purchased! Limited daily, while stock lasts.
The Seafood Pot SocialLite will be available until the end of January 2017, subject to changes.
All in all, it was definitely a lavish experience. The ambiance was very elegant and posh. I enjoyed my time there and it’s certainly is a place to go if you are looking to celebrate a very special occasion, or trying to find a soothing place to catch up with someone.

Stunning and jaw-dropping Pad Thai Noodle from Cha Thai. Situated in the street of Telok Ayer, this Thai Food restaurant is worth taking a look.
I love their Pad Thai Noodle. Initially, I thought that Pad Thai Noodle should have a strong wok smell. The smell and aroma can be produced with very high heat and a good well-seasoned cast iron wok. Yet, I was told that original Pad Thai Noodle should not have it.
How do I know? The original creator of Pad Thai Noodle is actually by Chai Thai owner’s ancestor. She is the 5th generation of the family! So, an authentic Pad Thai Noodle should have a sweet fragrance, accompanied by sourish unripened mango and a squeeze of zesty lime.
Of course, when you are in Thai Resturant, you expect a wide range of selection of Thai drinks, right? You will be spoiled by what they can offer you. I really liked their Thai Green Tea, it was strong and creamy!
Crispy Prawn Cakes to be paired with rice. It was juicy and delightful. But, I do feel that they can be heavier on their seasoning. Yet, I still enjoyed much, especially with the sweet plum sauce!
The usual Thai Papaya Salad. I know you can’t see, but it was served with Salted Duck Eggs. I don’t recall having Papaya Salad with salted eggs, so this was unique for me! The salad dressing was zingy and refreshing, while the salted eggs give extra depth of flavor to this dish. Definitely should try if you are a sucker for Papaya Salad!
Tom Yum Soup
Spicy Tom Yum Soup with Noodles and Seafood. Yum! It was so spicy, even I was taken aback. However, the soup was dead additive! I simply just loved it! Strong flavor and very spicy, must try!
I think it is worth trying out if you are around the area. Maybe a casual weekday dinner after work with a small group of friends would be great! I love spicy food and this is a place I would really consider when I’m feelin’ for it!
Make sure to try out their Toasted Bread with Milk Tea/Kaya Sauce too! I heard it was quite popular there.
Suntec has been offering a wide variety of restaurants and Dallas is one of it you should totally check it out. Dallas is a good place to hangout as the bar/bistro concept restaurant offer casual dining ambiance for your after-work drinks and a glorious city view.
Pineapple Punch and Cherry Peach Cooler
Refreshing mocktails before dinner starts. Didn’t want to take alcohol as it was a weekday.
Snapper Fish Tacos
For starters, I got to try out Snapper Fish Tacos. The fish fillets were lightly battered fried till crispy golden brown. Paired with lovely cheesy nacho cheese, pineapple chutney and a finishing of lime juice. It was heavenly amazing. I love it!
BBQ Chicken Parm
Next, I got to try out BBQ Chicken Parm. Pan-fried chicken breast, wrapped with grilled bacon and caramelized onions, and topped with a generous amount of melted mozzarella cheese.
This got to be my favorite main dish, BBQ Barramundi. Crispy skin, yet tenderly soft meat, served with Garlic Mayonnaise and a finishing squeeze of lemon juice. It’s a great choice, yum!
When you are in Dallas, you should totally try our their Meat Platter when dining with your friends. Though this Meat Platter is for 2, I find that it is more suitable for 4 people. The Meat Platter consists of Braised Pork Ribs, Australian Lamb, Prime Rib, and Roasted Chicken. It comes with Mint Jelly, Mushroom Sauce, and Black Pepper Sauce. The Mint Jelly goes delightfully with the Lamb Cutlets, while the other sauces should be paired with the Roasted Chicken.
If you love sourish dessert, this is for you. I highly recommend you to get a slice of Keylime Pie to share at the end of your meal here in Dallas as it was very zesty and sharp.
Warm Chocolate Brownie
THIS IS THE BEST BROWNIE I EVER HAD! TRUST ME! It was so rich and indulgent, even I was embarrassed with my own brownie recipes. I was told that all their desserts were made in-house, I wonder why they did not open a brownie shop because this brownie really deserves some recognition.
Lastly, I also got to try their Apple Pie. I do like the Cinnamon Apple filling. Yet, the crust was a little too soft and lacks flavor.
